VASCULAR LASER VBEAM AND ND YAG | DR. MOLINARI, PARIS
Vascular lasers to treat couperose, spider veins...
| Dr. Molinari, Paris
Vascular lasers, mainly YAG or pulsed dye lasers, have a wavelength specific to hemoglobin and allow the targeted destruction of unsightly vascular proliferations such as angiomas, couperose, varicose veins of the lower limbs, etc.
Indications for Yag and Pulsed Dye Lasers
| Dr. Molinari, Paris
There are many indications for these lasers:
- Facial erythrosis or rosacea: This is the appearance, in adulthood, of vessels visible mainly on the cheeks and nose. Very common on white skin, couperose worsens spontaneously over the years and can become very visible. The only effective treatment is a vascular laser, which usually requires only two sessions to remove these new vessels without leaving scars.
- Spider veins on the lower limbs: This is the appearance, in adulthood and more often in women, of visible vessels on the legs. Here too, the spontaneous evolution is a multiplication of vessels that can create real superficial vascular networks. Vascular laser treatment can be very effective as a relay or complement to phlebological treatment.
- Ruby and stellate angiomas: Presenting as small, isolated red spots, they respond very well to YAG or pulsed dye lasers, usually in a single session.
These lasers may also be used to treat hypertrophic scars or resistant warts.
Side effects of vascular laser treatment
| Dr. Molinari Paris
After a vascular laser treatment (for couperose, rosacea or spider veins), the treated area turns red for several days.
Hematomas may also appear, but these disappear within two weeks.
If a large area of the face is treated, edema is common and may last for 4 or 5 days. Burns or spots are exceptional.
They can be prevented by avoiding sun exposure for one month before and one month after each session.
How long does a vascular laser session take?
| Dr. Molinari, Paris
Vascular laser sessions can last from a few minutes to a maximum of 30 minutes.
The duration depends on the number of vascular laser treatments to be performed and therefore on the area to be treated. (e.g. small stellate angiomas or cheek rosacea).
How much does a vascular laser treatment cost?
| Dr. Molinari, Paris
The price depends on the indication and the size of the area to be treated. (stellate angioma, angioma, rosacea, spider veins…)
- Price of vascular laser treatment: from 250 euros/session, all taxes included.
