With age, sun-exposed skin (face, hands, low-cut) deteriorates: appearance of lentigos, wrinkles and fine lines, loss of elasticity, lack of radiance.
Traditional fruit acid peels improve radiance and tighten dilated pores. But they have no effect on blemishes, fine lines or skin tone.
The anti-spot laser is effective in treating brown spots on fair skin, but the after-effects are quite severe and this treatment has no photorejuvenating effect: complexion radiance, skin elasticity, smoothing of fine lines.
We now have a new technique that combines the advantages of peels and anti-spot lasers without any of their drawbacks: the Picofocus laser, specifically indicated for photorejuvenation.
The Picofocus is a special handpiece used with the Cynosure Picosure laser. This laser is characterized by rapid impact and beam convergence to deliver high power to the areas to be treated.
This new technique therefore acts on the skin with high energy, but in a non-ablative manner, which means that it does not cause any superficial skin lesions: neither burns nor scabs.
The Picofocus laser is indicated for almost all skin types and all ages.

The Picofocus laser can be used to treat the face, hands, neck and low-cut – in short, all the areas that age with the sun.
Each session lasts about 20 minutes and is painless.
4 sessions are required, one month apart. Subsequent maintenance sessions, two or three times a year, are useful to ensure lasting results.
This treatment is non-ablative, i.e. it does not damage the epidermis. Follow-up treatment is therefore easy, as there is no damage to the surface of the skin.
After a picofocus laser treatment, the face is slightly red the same day, but there are no bruises or scabs. No social eviction is necessary.
Picofocus treats photoaging and brown spots, fine lines and sagging skin. The skin regains its elasticity.
It’s an effective treatment for photorejuvenation and skin revitalization. Picofocus combines all the benefits of a peel and an anti-spot laser, only better.
The face is the area most often treated with Picofocus, but the back of the hand, neck or décolleté can also be treated with Picofocus for photorejuvenation.
The Picofocus laser can be combined with other laser techniques or injections, in particular the Picosure laser for the most pronounced spots, the pulsed dye laser for couperose, hyaluronic acid for volume restoration or Botox for expression lines: frown lines, goose pimples, forehead wrinkles.
The cost of a session is around 400 euros, depending on the area to be treated.
