What does RADIESSE™ consist of?

Radiesse is an injectable facial augmentation, correction, and enhancement implant made from calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres. (It was developed by the prestigious MERZ Laboratory (known for developing the Ulthera technique) and is FDA approved in the United States and CE approved in Europe.
Radiesse is a dermal filler that has the advantage of being fully absorbed in approximately one year.

Radiesse is a dermal filler that improves hollowed areas of the face and restores tissue tone. Radiesse is ideally used in the lower face to improve the jowl and reshape the lower jaw. It can also be used for:

What are the eventual side effects after a RADIESSE™ injection?

Radiesse is a very well tolerated dermal filler. As with all filler injections, localized edema or bruising may occur in the days following treatment. These complications are rare.
Due to the presence of lidocaine in the product, there is no pain after the injection and activity can be resumed immediately.
Radiesse injections can be performed year-round with no restrictions on sun exposure.

The results of Radiesse injections are visible immediately after the procedure. The goal is a more harmonious, less tired face. This product is ideal for the treatment of wrinkles around the corners of the mouth, facial hollows and, of course, the oval.
This treatment does not weigh down the face and provides a very natural look. Radiesse is gradually absorbed over the course of a year.
This treatment can be combined with other volumizing treatments such as hyaluronic acid or Ellansé for the upper face, or botulinum toxin.
